Thermo Shield
Insulated Door Panel with Foil Facers: The Thermo Shield consists of a rigid 3/4" TUFF "R" polysocyanurate foam insulation board with reinforced foil facers on both sides. This panel is cut-to-size and affixed directly to the inside of the stairway door panel and offers an "R" rating of 5.9.

- Tape measure
- Hacksaw (depending on ceiling height)
- 3" lag screws*
- 16d nails*
- 8d nails*
- 1" x 4" temporary support slats (2 pieces approx. 32" long)*
- 1/4" or 3/8" plywood for shims*
- Braces with same dimensions as joists
